Lent Devotions & Soup Supper
There will be Lent devotions and soup suppers on Wednesday nights, February 22nd through March 28th. The Deacons will be having Lent devotions, "More Parables of Jesus". Soup supper will be served 5:45-6:30, devotions 6:30-7:00, and 7:00-7:30 project. We will be working on Diapers for Haiti following soup and worship.
Birthday Potluck
February 26th after worship will be the annual All Church Birthday Potluck. Bring regular potluck food. Drink and ice cream will be provided.
World Day of Prayer
This year's focus is on "Let Justice Prevail" with the Christian women of Malaysia choosing the theme.
Eldora - The St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora is inviting us to a service for World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Grundy Center - You are invited to the Grundy Center United Methodist Church, March 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Phil Dicks, the minister at GC UMC, has been in Malaysia and will share with us some first hand information and experience. Please join the GC United Methodist Women for the service and stay for refreshments afterwards.
Timothy Christian School Benefit Auction
Timothy Christian School Benefit Auction is planned for Saturday, March 3, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Wellsburg Memorial Building. This is a major fundraiser for Timothy Christian School. If you would be willing to donate something towards the auction, please contact Janna Voss at 641-3679. Cash donations toward expenses are also very much appreciated.
RYC 2012
RYC 2012 will be held at McPherson College March 30-April 1.
Women/Girls Salad Supper
The Women/Girls Salad Supper will be April 11th at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a "homemade" salad to share. The theme is "No Strings Attached". Please bring your favorite apron and a story about it to share with the group. Please invite a neighbor to come. Questions - contact David Butler.
Women's Retreat at Colfax Center
Saturday, April 21, Becky Linn of Follow Hard Ministries will be returning to Colfax Center for a day or praise, worship, teaching, sharing and a time to personally apply and reflect on God's Word. This is designed to be an opportunity for the women of the church, in the midst of job-related commitments, busy schedules and family responsibilities, to be still, to delight in God, to draw near to Him, and listen to His voice.
Music Festival
Stover Memorial Church invites you to participate in their Annual Stover Music Festival on April 22 at 4 p.m. Each congregation is asked to provide five to seven minutes of special music (vocal or instrumental). This will allow time for congregational singing. Concluding the time together will be a fellowship meal. Everyone attending is asked to bring sandwiches or salad. Table service and beverage will be provided. Even if you have no special music to share, please come and join in a time of fellowship and celebrating our common heritage and beliefs as we sing together.
